Day Near Freezing

Sun low, glow at the horizon,
I hold my skates
in my cold left hand.

One of the neighbors dogs is barking.

I wonder, what does a Turkish teacup look like?
A vase, a saucer, a hooka?

I’ll make an offering this morning.
