Winter Dark



The autumn sun hid months ago,
      beneath moist red leaves.

Tired, I lie in a patch of snow.
   I go digging for it.
Snow, leaves, twigs, dirt.

Thoughts and dreams,
   fire tea and water.
My kiln trails smoke,
      into a grey sky.
