Panic Grass

You might hide in Panic grass,
And mistake its name in error. . . .
Thinking you'll knead bread with it,
Or flee from it in terror.

Note: This grass is deer-tongued, of genus 'Panicum',
          Mysteriously not secretive, species 'clandestinum'.
